Join us for Dress Purple Day on October 25th! đź’ś
We’re standing with children’s aid societies across Ontario to support child welfare and raise awareness about the challenges children, youth, and families face today.
This year’s campaign calls for stronger social services and accessible community resources. As part of this effort, the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies (OACAS) has written an open letter on behalf of organizations across the province, including municipalities, non-profits, and groups focused on child welfare, youth services, mental health, housing, and more. We are urging the Ontario government to take immediate action to ensure community-based organizations have the resources—both funding and staff—they need to effectively support children, youth, and families.
Here’s how you can take part:
- Wear purple on October 25th and share your photos using #IDressPurpleBecause or #DressPurpleDay2024.
- Spread awareness by sharing our campaign visuals on your social media channels.
- Be an advocate—write to your local MPP. A template letter has been provided below.
